On May 25, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, George Floyd was killed by the police. Soon after, rallying cries of “I can’t breathe” echoed at global protests demanding justice for Floyd and others killed by law enforcement. The result has been months of daily protests, petitions, and demonstrations supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement.
